Yes, Google Sheets can open Excel files. All you have to do is to upload your Excel file to Google Drive.
The first step in converting Excel files to Google Sheets is to upload your Excel file to Google Drive.
If you don’t already have a Google account, create one and sign in. Once signed in, navigate to Google Drive and click on the “+ New” button.

After uploading the Excel file to Google Drive, right-click or click the three dots on the file, hover over “Open with,” and select “Google Sheets.”

Check the formatting of cells, columns, and rows to ensure that the appearance of your data is consistent with your expectations.
